The Beatles walk across the famous Abbey Road crossingA large crowed of Beatles fans gathered yesturday in London to re-create the famous ‘Abbey Road’ record sleeve.

The stunt coincided with the 40th Anniversay of the Classic album and took place outside the legendary studio.

Four lookalikes crossed the zebra crossing outside the studio as fans looked on, which caused huge traffic tailbacks.

“The sleeve is so easy to copy - well normally it is easy to copy. It’s simple and a shrine to The Beatles.” Richard Porter the organiser of the stunt said.

The former Beatles tour manager was present to mark the occassion, saying: “Myself, Ringo and Paul are the only people still alive who where originally present that day. It’s great to see that all carries on.”

MuseMuse recently told the NME in an interview that their latest album ‘The Resistance’ will feature slap bass.

Once synominus with 80s funk, slap bass has slowly lost popularity as many frown upon it.

However, Chris Wolstenhome has admitted Muse’s lastest track ‘Unnatural Selection’, will feature the effect as apposed to Matt Bellamy’s trademark guitar.

“I know it’s not cool to play slap bass, but it just seemed to work in that song.. so we kept it in.” he addmitted.

Muse revealed the tracklisting for ‘The Resistance’ through the popular micro-blogging network Twitter. Matt Bellamy added he relied on his bandmates’ faith when producing ‘Exogenesis’ which is said to be an epic three-part closer.

“I had to get the other two to trust me with the one, but it turned out amazing.” he explained

U2

U2 kicked off their world tour on Tuesday at the Barcelona Nou Camp stadium covering two Michael Jackson songs in their set. They played ‘Man in the Mirror’ set to be number one along with ‘Don’t stop till ya get enough’.

They revealed their space station-style stage during their performance which has them playing in the centre of the Nou Camp stadium.
Bono greeted fans informing them that this was the right place for U2, ”this has been our neighbourhood for the last couple of weeks, this is where we wanted to build our space station”.
The group played a mix of their hits ranging from the legendary ‘Beautiful Day’ to songs from their recent album ‘No Line On The Horizon’ whilst images of them were projected with a spherical screen around the venue.
